My first encounter with Faith as an animal communicator was when Molly Dennis Springer spaniel came to our Animal Wellness Center in Davis. Molly was a 14-year-old Springer with bone cancer in her right shoulder. She was referred to us because the cancer had are ready spread to the liver and she was no longer a surgical candidates. At the time of her first visit she had not eaten and over a week and she was in a great deal of pain in her leg. Before giving up on Molly, her owners took her to see Faith. Faith told them that Molly said "that she could live with the pain in her leg, but she didn't want to live with nausea". So instead of trying to help relieve her pain on the first visit, I used to acupuncture for her nausea. The next day she ate and her spirit improved greatly. Three days later I started acupuncture for her pain and she has been eating well and pain free for over seven months now.

The next case they came to me after seeing Faith was little TC the cat. She was 8 years old and had lost half her weight and was not eating well. Her local Vet had ran every test available and everything was normal. Faith had told TC's owners "that TC said that her problem was in her small intestines". So when TC came to me, we repeated all the tests again, which included blood tests, x-rays, ultrasound and again always normal, but because TC had felt that her problem was in her small intestines, we decided to do an exploratory to take a look inside. During the surgery we found a thick loop of Jejunum and removed it. It turned out to be a cancer in the small intestines that we removed. The TC ate well and gained weight after her surgery.

The third case was Penny, a 13-year-old Cocker mix. She had been coming to me for a painful back. Should respond to the chiropractic adjustment, but the pain would always return. So I gave Penny's owner Faith's number. Faith discovered that Penny had a disturbing time as a puppy. She had been found running the streets and when she was captured by animal control, they had hurt her back. Faith had told Penny's owner how to help suppress the memory and prescribed some Bach Flower Remedies to help change the emotion. I saw Penny the other day for her yearly checkup and she has no further back problems and she seems to be much happier.

We have worked with two other animal communicators' in the past and I must say that we have been so impressed with Faith's abilities that we no longer refer to the other two communicators. I think that one of my clients best expresses all of our feelings when she says, "Faith really comes up with some things that just the same to be right on the mark!"

The ability to communicate with animals is a great gift. Faith Rothlisberger has that gift, and has devoted a great amount of time and energy training to strengthen and hone her innate talent, for the purpose of providing a service for both animals and their human companions.

I have had the privilege of working with Faith for the past several years. She has been instrumental in providing invaluable information regarding a variety of issues involving my cats. Faith's ability to carry on a two-way dialogue with my kittens, both in person and long distance, is imbued with integrity, compassion and clarity. Her service has transformed the relationship between my feline companions, and me a and served to deepen and strengthen the special connection I have with them.

In addition to working directly with my animal companions, faith has also taught me how to communicate with the animal kingdom. Her teaching methods are simple, straightforward and professional. Although Faith was born knowing she had a gift for communicating with animals, she has studied the subject extensively with some of the leading animal communicators in the field. Her extended study has provided her with additional information, clarity and teaching methods to share with her clients and class participants. She is an excellent teacher and guide for this esoteric subject, dealing with both the subtleties and basic's involved with effective communication. Faith's corporate background in marketing also serves her well in communicating information to both clients and classes in a professional and understandable manner.

I recommend Faith's services unconditionally. Her workshop will be an excellent addition to your schedule of class offerings. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I may provide additional information. Thank you for consideration of Faith's work.

Sincerely,
Rae Ann Kumelos

I recently was given a referral to Faith Rothlisberger, an animal communicator to help me with my female Doberman. I had gotten a 3-year-old from a breeder it turned out to be disreputable and as a result we had some concerns regarding our dog's aggressive behavior towards people invited into our home that unknown to her. My father was scheduled to visit from out-of-town for Thanksgiving and then again for Christmas for an extended period of time. Faith came to my home to assess Xena's living conditions into work with her directly. I had never used an animal communicator before and did not know what to expect for results. Faith was very kind and gentle, she petted and spoke quietly, directly to Xena about what was wrong and eventually what we could do to help her. Amazingly as faith told me what Xena was communicating back, she described actual conditions that I knew Xena had endured and also shed light on recent things that had happened that caused us concerns regarding Xena's behavior. We explain to Xena that we left Granddaddy very much and wanted a happy holiday with him. The Xena responded by communicating that she knew that. She loved us deeply and not to worry about his safety during his visit. I was a little skeptical as the results but had an open mind. What happened when my dad got here is absolutely true and incredible... The Xena was showing no suspicion or aggression and all, in fact the opposite was true. She went to his side for petting and love immediately, would not leave his side and was waiting for him at each morning. My dad left for three weeks and then returned for Christmas to the very same reception from Xena. We wholeheartedly recommend Faith, she helped our family greatly.

Sincerely,
Maureen R. Ferreria

I would like to relay my experience with the work of Faith Rothlisberger and her communication with my five cats.

Billy, my dominant male, who is 10 years old, began spraining in the house when No. 5, Merry, came to live with us. After trying various methods, assurance, scolding, pheromones spray, we were at a loss as to what to do. While relaying this to the receptionist at my doctor's office, she gave me Faith's business card.

I called faith and she came out to my house on January 24th. After making acquaintance with the five cats, faith spoke with them individually. She started with Billy since he was the primary purpose for her visit. In speaking with Billy he told her that he was very sorry and he did not know why he was spraining in the house, he did not like the new cat that did not know why he was spraining. He went on to say that it hurt him to urinate and his bladder hurt and he wanted to go to the vet.

I took him to the vet that afternoon and was told the Billy had a major bladder infection and he was put on antibiotics.

Faith also worked with the other cats, particularly Oliver and Monica.

Oliver has always been an aloof cat, wanting to be acknowledged, but never wanting attention. Oliver's fur is badly matted this year and he would not allow me to groom him. After Faith talked with him about how much he is wanted and asked if he would allow himself to become more a member of the family, he has been allowing me to groom him and seemingly enjoys being brushed and is not moving away.

Monica, the shy cat with the weight problem, said she did not know why she was fat. She said she was always last and later told Faith that she feels responsible for everyone. Faith assured her this was not necessary and said that Monica felt a weight lifted from her.

Lily and Merry are well adjusted. Lily in particular wanted to talk about the others and she will at times play with the kitten.

It was fascinating watching faith doing energy work with Billy, Monica and Oliver. They'll responded positively to her work. The Billy readily accepts the energy treatments. Monica and Oliver both were reticent but after a few minutes, they became receptive and stretched out on the floor in front of her.

I would definitely recommend Faith to anyone who is having a problem with their pets.

Our family has received many benefits from using your gift of animal communication and healing, including:
  • A deeper feeling of love and appreciation for animals
  • Clear understanding of each of the animals needs, his desires and fears
  • Comfort and clarity and making difficult decisions (such as one to euthanize the terminally ill animal)
  • Improvement in a pets well-being
  • Valuable input for determining the best medical treatment (such as radiation therapy for Celeste's thyroid), a trainer etc.
  • Help in finding lost animal (Emonay, our king snake, who would likely have died from his injuries, if we hadn't found him hiding inside a container of sports equipment after he was attacked by her cat)

I have called on Faith in many instances - it gives me peace of mind now I can communicate with my dear pets through her. Even my teenage son will say, "Call Faith!" When we have a crisis or key decision to make about their pets.

The greatest helping comfort ever received from Faith was with Violetta, our cat with feline leukemia. When I found her in the summer, she wasn't emaciated stray, starved for food and affection. My son and I were captivated by her sweet, loving personality. Phillipe still says, "She's the best We ever had." The news that she had a fatal disease was devastating, but we vowed to make current life is pleasant as possible during the time she had left. When her eye swelled to the size of a grape and the vet suggested we have it surgically removed, Faith used energy work to alleviate the swelling. No surgery was necessary. As she grew progressively weaker, I debated about when it would be best to euthanize her - which you rally in live a few more months, or was it time to let go? The uncertainty was agony. Faith communicated with her and told me that she was ready to leave earthly existence. We said our goodbyes; I knew I was doing the right thing. Violetta was able to express her love for us (she told us that she had renewed faith in humanity, because we had loved her and brought her into our home, despite her disease). Thanks to Faith, when we went to the vet, I felt a great sense of peace. I held Violetta in my arms, feeling the life leave her body and her sole soar.

Dear Ms. Rothlisberger,

I am writing this letter to let you know how much my husband and I, not to mention our dogs Rosco and Buster, have benefited from your services. Since we have been working with you, we have seen remarkable improvements and Rosco's behavior. As you know, our three biggest concerns regarding Rosco were:
  • his self-destructive behavior, often resulting in self mutilation
  • his fighting with Buster
  • his destruction of our personal property.
For anyone to truly understand how far Rosco has come, I must provide them with some history.

Sadly, in the spring of 1993 we had to put our 13-year-old Black Labrador Retriever, Samson, to sleep. At the time we also under 10-year-old Spitz mix, named Buffy, and five outdoor cats. We weren't looking to adopt another dog for some time. But in August 1993, a friend of mine was desperately trying to find homes for these three rescued dogs, so we went to meet them all.

We fell in love with Rosco and his goofy smile right away. My friend informed us he had rescued Rosco eight months earlier, emaciated and starving. The veterinarian believed him to be a Black Labrador Retriever mixed with Great Dane, approximately two years old. Despite being informed of his destructive behaviors and "hard-headedness", we took him home. I was sure my degree in Zoology and years of experience training animals and working as veterinary technician would be enough to control Rosco. How wrong that was!

He was disobedient and would run off any chance he got. He occasionally relieved himself inside the house. But worst of all, almost daily he destroyed some part of our property: our lawn, plants, clothing, pillows, and her car interior, which I thought was the last straw. Instead, in March 1994 I called a Behaviorist for help. The Rosco was promptly diagnosed with separation anxiety, and we were given several suggestions to help curb his bad behaviors. We followed all the behaviorist's advice, except for building in outdoor kennel for him. Amazingly he transformed into a different dog. He graduated top in his obedience class; our friends and neighbors praised his success; and his symptoms of separation anxiety seemed to disappear.

In early May 1996, we unfortunately had to put our dog, Buffy, to sleep. Then in late May, I rescued a stray Pit Bull. After two months of searching for suitable home for him, we fell in love with him and decided to keep Buster to. We cleaned him up, house trained him, took him to obedience, and transformed him into an inside dog. Other than two small fights early on in their relationship (and before Buster was neutered), Rosco and Buster got along famously and played together every chance they got. This continued until early September 1997, when they began fighting sometimes when we left them alone in the house together.

When two consecutive fights resulted in injuries to both dogs serious enough to go to the Veterinarian, we began separating them whenever we left the house. First we put Buster in a dog crate in the same room with Rosco. But Rosco injured his teeth and gums trained to Buster out of the crate. We then put Buster in the crate inside a separate room, but Rosco chewed up the carpet and door leading to that room. For awhile, we were able to leave Buster inside the crate in the garage and Rosco inside the house with no incidents. But they got too cold that winter to leave Buster outside any longer. We tried to put Rosco in the garage she inside the crate and Buster in the house, but Rosco destroyed the crate, got loose and escaped from the garage.

We tried keeping Rosco in the backyard, but he dug holes in the lawn, ate trees and shrubs, tore up the siding, and escaped from the yard. We tied him to the tether, but arrived home to find him loose in the front yard with his collar empty at the end of the tether still tied to a tree. For awhile, we found a solution by putting Rosco in the bedroom and leaving Buster in living room. That is, until Rosco climbed onto the bathroom counter one day, making a huge mess and clawing up the cabinets in the process. We then put Buster into the bedroom and left Rosco in living room. But intermittently and unpredictably, Rosco would claw at the carpet, pad, and door, and doorjamb leading to Buster's room. Twice he climbed onto the kitchen counter, breaking dishes and plants, and clawing at the cabinets there as well.

Finally we built him a nice, sturdy kennel of iron pool fencing in March 1998. First he practically bent the kennel up trying to escape before we had a chance to bolt it to the cement. Then he climbed onto the roof of his doghouse (which was inside the kennel) and escaped more than once by tearing off the kennel roof. We removed the doghouse, leaving him little shelter, but he tore his dewclaws off, broke his teeth, and bloodied his lips and gums chewing at the kennel to get out. We tried to chain him inside the kennel only to return home to find him sitting in the front yard collarless, with his collar hanging over the top of the kennel at the end of the chain. He'd almost hanged himself that day! Even though we tried to gradually acclimate him to the kennel using play, food, praise and even tranquilizers temporarily, nothing worked. He barked most of the day, causing a nuisance to the neighbors, and continued to destroy the kennel and himself in the process. He seemed to view the kennel as a form of punishment.

Our next step was to take him to our Veterinarian to rule out obvious medical conditions. Fortunately all tests came a negative. It seems that his separation anxiety had inexplicably returned. As a last resort, after two separate recommendations from a friend and a family member, I contacted Albree Dog Training in April 1998. Because Rosco exhibited no aggressive behaviors (except occasionally with Buster) they referred me to you.

My first contact with you (Faith) by telephone in late April revealed your compassion for animals. The fact that you spent so much time on the phone with me initially discussing Rosco in detail and suggesting several things for me to do before hiring you only added to your credibility. Each meeting and conversation with you since then has enlightened me a little more. Your insight into Rosco's emotions (and Buster's and our cat called LBJ's, for that matter) amazes me. I have noticed a drastic change in Rosco every time you have worked with him. With each visit, he seems to be more at peace as am I.

It is apparent that you have bonded with Rosco and have come to love him as I do for the special dog that he is. I quite literally think that Rosco's life has been saved thanks to you. Your energy treatments, herbal remedies, ongoing research, perseverance, and most notably your consultation and referral to Dr. Rena Ferrari for acupuncture have all worked together to gradually mitigate Rosco self-destructive and property destructive behaviors. It has been a long road for all of us. But your diligence in finding a workable solution, and our persistence toward that common goal, has really paid off. I pray that the improvements we have seen in Rosco thus far are permanent.

I can only attribute the changes in Rosco to his having undergone an attitude adjustment. Instead of being "jealous and indignant" toward Buster, he is "tolerated and playful". He does not pout or mope around anymore. It is so rewarding to see Rosco initiate play again with Buster, with my husband and with me! We're now able to leave both Rosco and Buster inside the house unrestrained (although still in separate rooms) when we are gone.

I wish I could describe the relief I felt when you first agreed to except us as a "project". More than anything else, you gave me hope when I was feeling hopeless and helpless. I am forever grateful to you for that and for your skill, availability, kindness, and professional ethics. Many of my family members, friends, and co-workers laugh at me for the links I have gone to save Rosco. But the true animal lovers have applauded our efforts. As I told you before, my husband and I both would have had a difficult time living with ourselves if we had needed to put a healthy, loving, and devoted animal like Rosco to sleep for behavioral problems.

I applaud your decision to continue your education in the animal behavior and ultimately into veterinary school. The animal care field needs people like you who are concerned more for the animals welfare and with lining their own pocketbooks. Have already referred several friends, colleagues, family members and my regular veterinarian to both you and to Dr. Ferrari. I will continue to do so whenever someone is looking for a viable alternative to traditional medicine for his or her pet. Begin, thank you for your kindness and concerned.

With Kindest Regards,
Valerie C. Brown
